Why is santander good to work for

Collections Representative. Change, moved department and locations, far drive. Not interesting, you do the right thing but numbers are not meet. Good pop things they have , shows. This is a big, powerful company that does not have time for the little guys. They will not train you, so make sure you are up to speed on your job if you want to survive.

A good company for the right people. Pros Good benefits and PTO. Overworked and understaffed Customer Account Sr. It was a ok experience but with the amount of hours they want you to work vs the number of staff is one sided. They would rather just do nothing then change simple things like correct the regular customer service when transferring for no reason.

Pros Good pay. Cons No change, pulling teeth to request anything. No work life balance. Overtime was demanded but not paid. Even was made fun of for being too much. Pros No free lunches, unpaid overtime, no team spirit. Cons No breaks, no work life balance.

Yes There are 1 helpful reviews 1 No. They are more worried about defending the bank and upper management than listen to employee concerns. They are extremely micromanaging as well which makes it somewhat of a high stress level environment.

Hr is not your friend here. They do anything to protect the bank and gaslight you constantly. Pros Good money. Cons Bad management, micromanaging, unprofessional at times. Management is only worried about numbers and if you don't "drink the kool-aid" you are putting a bullseye on your back. I would not recommend this job for people who have a heart. Cons management cares about themselves and the numbers - glorified bean counters.

Yes There are 2 helpful reviews 2 No. Within the finance world, management is employee centric from top down. Work life balance is there. They compensate you well. Opportunities are given to deserving individuals. Pros Work life balance, compensation. Senior leaders are willing to help you learn and guide you through the projects if necessary. I find that the executive directors may be hard to reach as they are very busy so there might not be much time to connect with them.

Overall a good place to work at. Many opportunities if you know what you are looking for. CLOSE 3 s. Santander Share. Information for shareholders and investors. Corporate governance and remuneration policy. Why are our employees proud to work for Santander? Scroll down.

Employees who are proud to be part of Santander One of our objectives is to ensure that the workforce develops a sense of belonging, gratitude and pride in working at Santander. Managers are reluctant to take manager calls when it's there job. I hate never been able to finish on time because if your on call your expected to finish it regardless of how long it will take.

I don't think they give staff the right amount of training and the work load just keeps getting higher and higher. You also get in trouble for the most stupid of things. Pros Been able to book your own annual leave off, well to an extent. Cons Long days, rotational shifts, very clicky, managers gossip about staff, pay could be better for the amount of stuff you have to put up with. I worked in a very fast paced high risk area typically working 7 hrs per day.

Hardest part of the job very high risk moving billions of pounds. Lovely staff friendly atmosphere good yearly bonus and generous holidays.

Pros Yearly bonus. Cons High risk very pressurised. Working for Santander is very stressful at times. You are always working to meet a target. Good staff are not appreciated and very quickly move on. Staff are ten a penny!!! Pros Good location for transport. Cons Stressful. Target driven. Target driven and not enough care for the staff. Only recognise favourite staff members for progression and lack of flexibility on many aspects. Not much recognition for long term staff members. Pros Close to home.

Cons Annualised hours system not good. No value of staff nor thier input, employees often bullied by management seen 4 people leave now because of this.

Your hard work and dedication never recognised. People always happy to pass the blame rather than take ownership. Always had colleagues looking like they have lost the will to live as have been told off infront of team and expected to smile like nothing has happened when the door opens to public. Company bangs on about how they support and believe in a positive employe mental health however whip employees to take as many calls I'm as little time frame as possible. Understaffed and as a result overworked.

Pros Good while in uni. Cons Depressing job, no sense of purpose, over worked. The hours are terrible and the job is really high pace this is because they deliberately staff themselves to what they beleive will be the nunber of calls throughout the day instead of adding a few extra people in to cover any spikes in calls this results in ques which means no time to recover which equals STRESS!!

Also you will spend most of your time and life around this place when in the office the hours are terrible they are not flexible on the hours within each rota. Pros Advancement, bonus each year, dental and health insurance, job security, friendly customers mostly , banked hours.
